Discover additive manufacturing processes for polymer and metal applications

Understanding additive manufacturing technologies in order to integrate the benefits of these innovations: reduced design time, complex shapes, rapid validation of new products, etc.

Course Overview

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the different additive manufacturing processes for polymer or metal applications, sometimes grouped under the term “3D printing.”
  • Understand the applicability of additive manufacturing by asking the right questions about feasibility and economic relevance.

Teaching Methods

The training is based on numerous examples of parts illustrating the different processes. Trainees will be required to establish the link between parts and processes.

Targeted Skills

  • Identify your company’s products that are potentially eligible for additive manufacturing.
  • Interact with additive manufacturing subcontractors as part of a business project.

Assessment Methods

A final multiple-choice test will allow each participant to review all the major topics covered in the training.

Instructor Profile

Instructor with an engineering or PhD background, additive manufacturing project manager with both scientific and operational experience on a wide range of equipment.

Personnel Concerned

Engineers and technicians from Design offices, methods and research and development departments, and buyers.

Prerequisites

No technical prerequisites
